Dave Young | Chief Executive Officer
“For me, wellness is a personal journey, it’s not one size fits all. For some, it might mean marathons and CrossFit; for others, it might mean walking their dog or playing with their kids. Wellness is about making every choice count. Small steps like eating a little healthier and moving a little more help you feel a little better. When I am feeling better, I’m a better leader, a better employee, a better spouse, a better father, a better person.”
As CEO of Vivacity, Dave oversees the strategic direction of the integrated health and wellness programs Vivacity offers to employers.
Prior to his role with Vivacity, Dave led the information technology team and eBusiness Development at Premera Blue Cross, and served as the vice president of strategy and business solutions in the information technology department. Dave oversaw the annual strategic and technical planning, web development, and project management. He also worked for more than 10 years at Blue Cross of Idaho, where he directed the IT department.
Kristina Simpson | Program Administration
“I believe that wellness should be ingrained in the fabric of our daily choices. It’s about choosing an apple over a cookie, a walk over another lunch at your desk, and yoga class over TV reruns. At the end of the day, it’s about making healthy choices for your body and soul.”
Kristina has vast experience in health and wellness program administration, including design, implementation, billing, and analytics (she’s one of our resident Excel gurus). Prior to her work with Vivacity, she supervised multi-site research projects at a large Northeast hospital. Kristina holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and an M.A. form Tufts University. She has also earned a Clinical Research Design and Project Management Graduate Certificate form Northeastern University.
At Vivacity, Kristina and her team support clients on their wellness journey by ensuring the flawless implementation of the programs and services they choose in their wellness roadmap.
Nicole Horgan | Client Experience
“I believe that achieving wellness is an ongoing journey, not a destination. This journey is shaped by the culture that we live within. Employers who establish a culture of wellness help develop their employees’ capacity to adopt healthier lifestyle practices, thus positively contributing to their wellness journey.”
Creating a culture of wellness requires a comprehensive customized approach. Nicole is committed to ensuring that employers are guided through this process. At Vivacity, Nicole provides visionary and strategic leadership for the client management and consulting team and provides oversight of client interaction with Vivacity services.
Nicole has over 12 years of experience working in health and wellness. She has an extensive background in creative wellness program development, implementation, and analysis for variety of populations. She’s also led several national initiatives aimed at community of health.
Nicole holds a B.S in exercise physiology from Oregon State University and an M.S. in experimental exercise physiology from Washington State University.
